Available to Primary Member and up to 3 Dependents
As an AIA member, you will have access to a licensed therapist by phone or video. Get confidential counseling seven days a week for conditions like depression, anxiety, stress, marital or family issues, and much more by phone or video. You will be able to choose from the following types of Behavioral Health (BH) Practitioners are available under the BH Program:
- Psychiatrists (MD/DO);
- Psychologists (PhD);
- Counselors (Masters);
- Clinical Social Workers (Masters);
- Therapists (Marriage and Family) (Masters); and
- Substance Abuse Counselors.
How it Works
- Complete a Medical History
The Member must complete a Medical History Disclosure and an assessment that will help determine the right type of therapist.
- Choose a provider / Service, members can choose the provider they are most comfortable with.
- Select a date and time that works best for the member, 7 days a week.
The Member may schedule BH Consultations either through Teladoc’s website/mobile app.
- Meet with the provider
When scheduling a subsequent BH Consultation, the Member may choose to receive the BH Consultation from a different BH Practitioner or may choose the same BH Practitioner for any subsequent BH Consultation.
- Ongoing Treatment
There are no limitations on the number of BH Consultations a Member may receive under the BH Program.
Consultations under the BH Program are not accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and must be scheduled. Medications may be prescribed only by BH Practitioners who are psychiatrists.
Video consults only in ID. In AR and DE, the first visit must be by video and future visits can be by phone or video.
Taking care of your mental health is an important part of your overall well-being. With Teladoc’s Behavioral Health, adults 18 and older can get care they need. The licensed therapists can even provide prescription treatment that you can pick up at your local pharmacy, when appropriate.
